Judges Training

The Rock'n'Roll Judging System consists of three levels:

  • Trainee Judge
  • Association Judge
  • National Association Judge              (Refer to Rule Book)
Trainee Judge
Must have attained the age of 18 years
Must be nominated by their club in writing the the Head Judge
Must have completed and returned to the Head Judge an introductory questionnaire
Must have attended one judges workshop
Must have their application considered and accepted by the Executive Committee
Must attend a minimum of one judges workshop per calendar year

 
Association Judge
Must have Armchaired a minimum of six club competitions, all using the points system 
Must have officially judged a minimum of four club competitions
Must sit and pass an examination set by the Head Judge
Must attend a minimum of one Judging workshop per calendar year
Must remain a financial member of an affiliated club

 
National Association Judge
Must have qualified as an Association Judge
Must have armchaired a minimum of two National Championships, a Junior and a Senior
Must attend a minimum of one Judging workshop per calendar year
Must remain a financial member of an affiliated club
Must be available to judge a minimum of one Nationals Competition per calendar year
Having accepted an invitation to judge at a forthcoming nationals, a judge must attend a judging workshop immediately prior to that Nationals
